Cheal has supported development at Huka Falls Resort since the 1980s, most recently contributing to the exciting Amano Ridge retirement‑lifestyle development by Northlit Property, currently under construction.

With Cheal’s expert guidance, Northlit secured Resource Consent for the remainder of the property and is now delivering premium freehold homes tailored for over‑55 living. Amano Ridge showcases architecturally designed villas and townhouses set within lush streetscapes, complemented by urban design elements such as rear lanes, shared-use roadways, and low‑impact stormwater corridors enhanced with landscape planting.

Cheal’s role in this project has been pivotal.

Cheal’s multidisciplinary team provided comprehensive services, including land surveying, civil engineering, and resource management planning, ensuring the subdivision met both the aesthetic aspirations and functional requirements of a modern lifestyle community.

Resource Management & Planning:

Cheal managed the resource consent process including subdivision and land-use consents under the Resource Management Act facilitating documentation, consultation, and regulatory compliance from application through to implementation.

Civil Engineering & Design:

Cheal’s civil engineering team designed essential infrastructure roads, services, stormwater systems and oversaw contracts through construction to project completion. Design precision supported amenity, accessibility, sustainability, and compliance with planning conditions.

Surveying:

Licensed surveyors delivered cadastral and construction surveying services, completing Land Transfer surveys to legally define each subdivision stage and assist property title issuance.
