Cheal Consultants has been involved with Ngā Roto Estate – Taupō subdivision since 2013, providing planning, engineering, and surveying expertise to bring this large-scale project to life. The development spans more than 630 lots over 16 stages, with the 15th stage now nearing completion.
Cheal’s role included securing district and regional consents, designing infrastructure, and overseeing construction. Flexibility was key throughout the process, demonstrated by 11 variations to the original consent to ensure the subdivision could adapt to changing needs and maximise its potential.
From stormwater and road design to site set-out for individual lots, Cheal managed every detail to deliver a quality outcome. Working closely with the client and contractors we refined layouts and staging to create more buildable lots and enhance the overall value of the project.
